Young Drivers will teach you the exclusive Collisionfree!™ Approach – 4 habits and 20 sub-habits that will allow you to use your eyes and the space around your vehicle to your best advantage. Your specially trained instructors will practice skills related to proactive driving, observation skills, risk perception, and space management
Unlike most other schools that have many students to a car, your 1:1 student to instructor lessons at Young Drivers will be based on your ability and competency. We start in controlled, low-traffic environments and introduce you to vehicle controls, blind spots, and proper mirror setup. Gradually, we advance to side streets, intersections, busy roads, highways, and downtown areas. You will become equipped with comprehensive skills to build your confidence at every stage.
Nervous about the driving lessons? Never been in a car? Don’t worry, we have you covered. Your lessons will progress based on your ability and skills. Young Drivers instructors provide what is called competency-based education. At Young Drivers, we will:
1- Start you in a parking lot/quiet street setting
2- Progress to side streets when you are ready/comfortable
3- Progress to busier roads and one-way streets
4- Then, freeway driving and so on…
We space the lessons out so that you can get practice in between each lesson since practice is how you get good at any skill. Not going to get any practice? Just let us know when scheduling your lessons and we can customise your lesson plan based on your situation.
